# agent-cards guide

> Print the instructions for your coding agent to build Agentcard into your app.

Hand your coding agent, such as Claude Code, Cursor or Codex, the instructions for building an Agentcard product into your app. The dashboard's Start implementing step shows the same instructions.

```bash theme={null}
agent-cards guide --help
```

```text theme={null}
Usage: agent-cards guide [options] [name]
Instructions for your coding agent to build Agentcard into your app
(commerce-sdk, vault, issuing)
Options:
  --mode <mode>  sandbox (default) or production credentials
  -h, --help     display help for command
```

## List the guides

```bash theme={null}
agent-cards guide
```

```text theme={null}
Implementation guides: instructions for your coding agent (Claude Code, Cursor, Codex) to build Agentcard into your app.
  commerce-sdk  Commerce SDK: Give your agent a buy tool: search, cart and checkout at real stores, each order approved by the shopper.
  vault         Vault: Let your users store their own card once; your agent pays with it, each payment approved with their passkey.
  issuing       Issuing: Issue your users virtual cards funded from their balance, with a card number your agent types into any checkout.
Print one:   agent-cards guide <name>
Production:  agent-cards guide <name> --mode production   (every check stops before real money moves)
Hand it to your agent, or let the agent run the command itself.
```

## Print one for your agent

```bash theme={null}
agent-cards guide commerce-sdk
```

```text theme={null}
You're integrating the Agentcard Commerce SDK (`@agent-cards/commerce-sdk`) into this agent so it can buy things for its users at real stores: search products, build a cart, and place the order once the shopper approves. Do it end to end and verify it in the sandbox.
## First, read the real docs
1. `npm install @agent-cards/commerce-sdk` (Node 18+, no dependencies).
...
```

The guide is plain Markdown on stdout, so you can paste it into your agent, save it to a file, or let the agent run the command itself:

```bash theme={null}
agent-cards guide commerce-sdk > AGENTCARD.md
```

To have Agentcard's agent do the build instead, run [`agent-cards init`](https://docs.agentcard.com/tools/cli/init).

## Print the production version

```bash theme={null}
agent-cards guide commerce-sdk --mode production
```

The production version assumes production credentials, so every check in it stops before a card is added or a payment is approved. Those steps place real orders. Sandbox is the default.
